We use dental implants to replace any number of missing teeth through single tooth implants, as well as implant-supported bridges and dentures. With dental implants, you’ll be able to get back to eating, talking, and laughing with confidence again.

What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a three-piece combination of a titanium implant screw, a connector piece called an abutment, and a restoration on top that looks and functions like a natural tooth. We can use a number of dental restorations, including a crown, a bridge, or dentures.

Dental implants are strong and secure because they are fused to your jaw bone, and they are the most realistic way to replace missing teeth. Once your implant has fully healed, you can care for your teeth as you normally would with regular brushing and flossing.

Benefits Of Dental Implants

When replacing missing teeth, dental implants provide a number of benefits, including:

  • Creation of a realistic look and feel
  • Prevention of bone loss in the jaw
  • Stabilization of surrounding teeth
  • Protection against gum disease
  • Maintenance of facial structure

If you are missing teeth and want to get back to living the life you love, schedule an appointment to find out if dental implants are right for you.

Single Tooth Replacement

A single tooth replacement using a dental implant is ideal for patients who are missing one tooth, or maybe a couple of teeth scattered throughout the mouth. With a single tooth implant, we place one titanium implant screw into the jaw bone in place of the missing tooth root. Once the implant has fused to the bone, we’ll place an abutment and a restoration, typically a dental crown, to complete the tooth replacement.

Implant-Supported Bridge

Patients who are missing a couple of teeth in a row can benefit from an implant-supported bridge. With this option, we place implants on either side of the gap created by the missing teeth. We then create a dental bridge, which is an appliance fitted with false teeth. This bridge is made to connect directly to the implants, so it will be permanently fixed in your mouth once we place it. An implant-supported bridge is a strong and secure tooth replacement option.

Implant-Supported Denture

If you’re missing most of your teeth in either or both arches, or your current dentures are loose and don’t fit well, we may recommend implant-supported dentures. We will surgically place two to four dental implants in your jaw bone and allow them time to fuse to the bone. The abutment, or connector, for these implants includes a bar that allows your new dentures to clip onto the implants and stay in place. These dentures are removable, but because they are supported by implants, they won’t slip or click while you’re eating and talking.
